Alphabet Tiles
The first graders have been putting their alphabet tiles in order daily. They first sort them by vowels and consonants and then they put them in alphabetical order as quickly as they can. They have learned to point to the alphabet strip to keep track of their progress. Once completed we point to each letter saying its name and sound. The students have learned that it's harder to say the letters backwards. The children are beginning to understand the importance of working hard and using their time well.
