First day of first grade!
The first graders had a wonderful day, which started out by listening to a motivational speaker, Demoine Adams, at Davenport. Mr. Adams, a former Husker football player, inspired the students to do their best at school and to never quit when things get hard. They also worked on organizing alphabet tiles and saying their letters and names. We spent a majority of our time learning about classroom rules, procedures, and location of items in the room. The children learned how to organize their desk and the importance of using proper handwriting position. We had a great first day!
