Popcorn! Interactive Notebooks!
The students earned a popcorn party by working together and demonstrating proper classroom behavior! While eating their treat the children watched educational videos that correlated with what I am teaching in reading and / or math.
For math the students started using an Interactive Notebook in which they can refer to when they get confused. They used their dictionary to spell number words from zero to twenty and wrote them under each flap. They cut and glued each strip into their notebook. Some students preferred to stand while working and others chose to sit while working. They worked diligently on this project and then used the IXL math app on their new i-pads.
